Halloween and the Victory of Christ

As daytime shortens, our ensuing depression causes us a struggle to function or to find any joy in our relationships, even with God... Perhaps this is why it is appropriate that Halloween falls at the cusp of such a season.

God in Dark Seasons

There is an undercurrent of melancholy to this change of seasons, a reminder that, even in its beauty, this world is broken, and death and all sorts of sadness occur. Perhaps this is why it is fitting that Halloween falls in such a season.

On Halloween

In light of our victory over Satan, sin, and death, we should consider, ponder through, and pray over how we can learn from and celebrate Halloween as the Christian holiday it is and can be, proclaiming the gospel through pumpkins and plastic masks.
